Differences between carton sealing machines and corner sealing machines

Case sealers are the most widely used carton sealing method. They seal with a single straight strip of tape (I-seal) and can tape the top and bottom at the same time, or the top only.

They are further divided into semi-automatic and fully automatic models, with different machines for different drive types.

Case sealers can operate as standalone machines or be combined with other equipment, such as strapping machines, conveyors, carton clamping conveyors, weighing conveyors and inkjet printers… to form a small packaging line.

                                                                                                                             

 

Corner and edge sealers apply tape to the four corner edges of the carton to make it sturdier, reinforce the packaging and keep out dust.

Corner and edge sealers come in two types: fully automatic corner and edge sealers and semi-automatic corner and edge sealers.

Fully automatic corner and edge sealer: for production with random carton sizes rather than one fixed size.

Semi-automatic corner and edge sealer: for fixed carton sizes or batch production of same-size cartons.

                                                               

 

Corner and edge sealers are usually combined with I-seal case sealers to form an "H-seal case sealer".

         

                                                     

 

In short, both case sealers and corner and edge sealers can be combined with other equipment, such as strapping machines, conveyors, carton clamping conveyors, weighing conveyors, inkjet printers, robotic palletizers and easy-lift vacuum handlers… to form a complete packaging line.
